Dr. Colin Barbaro
Born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, Dr. Colin Barbaro followed two of his older brothers to Chapel Hill, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at UNC (and picked up a minor in Tar Heel basketball). He loved Chapel Hill so much that he stayed to earn his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, which is also where he met his future wife, Lauren, a fellow dentist. During dental school, Dr. Barbaro developed a strong interest in dentoalveolar and implant surgery, resulting in multiple research publications and extensive surgical training.
Following graduation, he and Lauren moved to Texas for his residency program at the South Texas VA hospital. Regarded as one of the best training programs in the country, it provided Dr. Barbaro with elite skills in comprehensive and implant dentistry. In addition to implants, he received the highest level of training in endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, TMJ therapy, sleep apnea treatment, and Invisalign.
When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Barbaro enjoys spending time with his wife, their five children, and their dog, Pearl. He is a passionate sports fan and an avid fly fisherman.
Dr. Barbaro’s Treatment Philosophy:
“My passion is in treating people, not just treating teeth. My goal is to come to work each day and make a positive difference in my patients’ lives. I maintain a focus first on establishing a healthy mouth and secondly on restoring form and function—be it through a simple filling or multiple dental implants. Through my extensive training, I aim to comprehensively care for my patients in a truly comfortable environment.”

Dr. Justin Barbaro is thrilled to provide comprehensive, compassionate dental care to his community. Bringing a deep dedication to his craft and a broad scope of clinical practice, Dr. Barbaro allows the office to offer a wide variety of advanced procedures, ranging from cosmetic dentistry and crown and bridge prosthodontics to endodontics and oral surgery, including extractions and dental implants.
Originally from Fayetteville, NC, Dr. Barbaro spent his formative years just down the road. Growing up as one of five boys, dentistry was a prevailing theme in his household; with his father and brother, Colin, both being esteemed dentists, the profession truly runs in his blood. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with Highest Distinction, earning his bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology. He loved Chapel Hill so much that he stayed to earn his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS), which is also where he met his wife, Callie. For all these reasons and many more, the Tar Heels will always hold a special place in his heart.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, Dr. Barbaro is a passionate lifelong learner. He continually expands his expertise through countless continuing education courses, ensuring his patients receive the highest level of care in everything from simple fillings to full and partial dentures. He also maintains active involvement in numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Barbaro cherishes his time spent with his wife, Callie, and their three beautiful children: Cameron, Charlotte, and James.
